YOUR INFORMATION
This policy explains what personal information I may collect, why I collect it,
how it may be used and shared, and the choices available to you.
Effective date: 6 October 2026
This website is operated by Rebecca Brissett, an Australian sole trader (ABN 85002032151).
In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Rebecca Brissett.
I respect your privacy and aim to handle personal information carefully and transparently. Whether or not the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to every aspect of my business, I aim to manage personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles where reasonably practicable.
WHAT I COLLECT
I collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to enquiries, deliver resources and services, administer purchases and keep in touch with people who have asked to hear from me.
Depending on how you interact with the website or my work, I may collect:
your name, email address and other contact details;
information you provide when making an enquiry;
mailing-list preferences and records of emails sent to you;
purchase, transaction and product-access information;
billing information required to process a purchase, although complete payment-card details are handled by the payment processor rather than by me;
information relating to workshops, consulting or other services you request; and
technical information collected through the website, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages visited and cookie information.
I may collect this information when you:
contact me by email;
join the mailing list;
download a free resource;
purchase or access a product;
register for a workshop or other service;
respond to a survey or provide feedback; or
browse or interact with the website.
Some information is collected or processed on my behalf by service providers used to operate the website, deliver products, communicate with you and process payments.
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information, confidential participant information or identifiable client information in an initial enquiry.
HOW IT IS USED
Personal information is used to provide what you have requested, communicate with you, operate the website and business, and meet relevant legal and record-keeping obligations.
I may use personal information to:
respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
provide products, downloads, workshops or services you request;
process and administer purchases;
manage product access and customer records;
send writing, resources and business updates where you have chosen to receive them;
improve the website, products and services;
maintain the security and proper operation of the website;
keep business, taxation and transaction records; and
comply with legal obligations or protect legal rights.
I do not sell your personal information.
If you join the mailing list or otherwise consent to receive updates, I may send you occasional emails about new writing, practical resources, workshops, products or other work.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email. You may still receive transactional or administrative messages relating to a purchase, download, account or enquiry.
WEBSITE AND PAYMENTS
The website, digital products and payments are supported by third-party platforms. These providers process some information so the website can operate, purchases can be completed and resources can be delivered.
The website is hosted using Podia. Payments are processed through Stripe and may also be subject to the privacy terms of those providers.
I do not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Payment providers may collect information required to process a transaction, prevent fraud and comply with their legal obligations.
Podia and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain security, remember preferences and understand website use.
You can adjust cookie settings through your browser. Disabling some cookies may affect website functions, account access or checkout.
SHARING AND STORAGE
I do not sell personal information. Information is shared only where it is reasonably necessary to operate the business, provide something you requested, meet legal obligations or protect legitimate rights.
I may disclose personal information to:
website, hosting, email, payment, accounting, technology or professional service providers;
people or services involved in delivering something you have requested;
government agencies, regulators, courts or other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law; or
relevant parties where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, misuse or a security incident, or to protect my rights, safety or property or those of another person.
Service providers are permitted to handle information for their own lawful purposes or to provide services to me, subject to their respective terms and privacy practices.
Some providers used to operate the website and business are located outside Australia or use overseas infrastructure.
Podia states that its services are hosted and operated in the United States. Stripe and other global providers may process information in countries where they or their service providers operate.
Privacy protections in those countries may differ from Australian law. By using the website or providing information through these services, you acknowledge that overseas processing may occur.
CARE AND RETENTION
I take reasonable steps to protect personal information and retain it only for as long as it is needed for business, legal, taxation, access or record-keeping purposes.
I use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no online system or method of transmission is completely secure.
I retain information only for as long as reasonably required to:
provide products, services or ongoing product access;
respond to enquiries and maintain customer records;
keep taxation, accounting and transaction records;
resolve complaints or disputes; or
meet other legal obligations.
Information that is no longer required may be deleted, de-identified or securely destroyed where reasonably practicable.
YOUR CHOICES
You can ask what personal information I hold about you, request access or correction, update your communication preferences, or ask whether information can be deleted.
To make a request, email rebecca@rebeccabrissett.com.
I may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a change. In some circumstances, information must be retained to meet legal, administrative, taxation or record-keeping obligations.
You can stop receiving marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in an email.
CONCERNS
If you are concerned about how your information has been handled, please contact me first so I can understand the issue and respond.
Email rebecca@rebeccabrissett.com with enough information for me to understand your concern. I will acknowledge and consider the issue and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
If the issue is not resolved, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or another relevant regulator, where applicable.

This policy may be updated when my business practices, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will always appear on this website.
The website, products and services are intended for adults and professional audiences. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
When this policy changes, the effective date at the beginning of the page will be updated.
